Budget
As per provisions of Madhya Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, 1973, it is mandatory to forward Annual estimate of Income – Expenditure in respect of each Development Authority to the State Government duly approved by Annual Budget Authority Committee. As per State order dated 07.12.2011, it has been decided that annual budget of the Development Authorities be got examined through State Institute For Town Planning (SITP). Additionally, annual budget in respect of newly constituted Development Authorities may also be got prepared from SITP. The Development Authoritites in the State are presently functioning at Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Dewas, Ratlam, Katni, Amarkantak and Singrauli.
During FY 2012-13, the annual budgets have so far been received from 10 Development Authorities in respect of which the opinion of SITP has been duly forwarded to the State Government after necessary scrutiny. The details are as follows:
